No limitation

There is no hard limit on emails you can send within a day/week/month or a year. The "natural" limitation will come from the hardware; that is how powerful cloud VM you will have.

You will get an email at least a week before when you are going near the maximum of your hardware resources and if you wish you can either upgrade for an exra fee or you can lower down your email campaign.

Specs & Prices

The cheapest plan comes at 50€ per month and includes everything that is listed above plust the features outlined below. 35000 emails per week is more or less the amount of emails that you will be able to send from the lowest plan; that is about 140k emails per month.

DKIM, SPF

In a nutshell, SPF allows email senders to define which IP addresses are allowed to send mail for a particular domain. DKIM on the other hand, provides an encryption key and digital signature that verifies that an email message was not forged or altered..

Bounce handling

PhpList implements bounce management which handles these bounce messages, and provides automatic actions depending on the error code, like removing an incorrect email address and or adding users to a blacklist after an X amount of bounces.

Detailed logs

In the available configuration file you can setup an email address where all bounces or notices are forwarding. This is the simplest but very effective way of handling easily your logs. Logs for your cron are also available.

Scheduling

As an example, you create a monthly newsletter on the first of January, and send it to a list. Over the month you expect another 50 people to sign up, or be added to your list manually, and you would also like them to automatically receive a copy of the campaign. You would set up your campaign to re-queue every day and to re-queue until 31st of January.

Storage

The lowest plan comes with 20GB and the biggest comes with nearly 200GB of space. That is pleny of space for thousands of newsletters. The storage is needed just for your images and the rest of the uploads. The database takes very little space unless you are handling a huge mailing list.

Registration forms

You can create your own registration page by using simple HTML tags. You can have an unlimited number of forms based on your newsletter structure. A subscribe page or a registration page, usually consists of a short form that a visitor to your website can fill out to subscribe themselves to one or more of your lists.

Once your campaign is ready, you need to tell phpList to send the campaign. There are two steps to this:
1. Submit the message to the queue.
When creating the campaign, the last tab of the workflow is the 'SEND' tab. Pressing the 'start campaign' button submits the campaign to the sending queue.
2. Process the queue, either manually via the browser or command line, or automatically via a cron job or remote queue processing system. .

When you set up the cron, two of the most time consuming parts of phpList will become automated. These are processing the queue and processing the bounces. Once you set up the cron, you will not have to do these in your browser, but they will happen automatically. Sending a campaign will become as easy as sending a normal email from your desktop..

Yes, you can use any language you wish.

Proper setup and configuration is vital. If you send a large amount of emails to the same ISP then you should configure PHPlist to use a delay of X seconds between each email. Large providers will block you straight away if they see suddently a massive amount of emails originating from your IP.
